Automation & Robotics Technology Co, based in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area, has provided a self-developed intelligent warehousing system for a leading Mexican automotive parts enterprise to help build an automated distribution center.

To help the company expand despite limited space while controlling investment costs, Automation & Robotics designed a customized intelligent warehousing system for a vertical warehouse standing about 26 meters tall.

"The system uses four-way pallet shuttles together with elevators, robotic arms, and conveyor systems to automate the entire warehousing process, from storage and picking to inbound and outbound operations," said Xie Yinan, vice-president of Automation & Robotics.

The vertical warehouse boasts 17 levels of shelving, accommodating 44,828 pallet positions, with each pallet supporting up to 900 kilograms.

Xie further noted that the system facilitates an inbound and outbound flow of 360 pallets per hour, significantly boosting throughput efficiency to meet high-frequency distribution demands.

The Mexico project exemplifies Automation & Robotics' global expansion strategy. By utilizing cutting-edge warehouse automation technology and its self-developed Matrix8 intelligent storage and picking system, along with four standard products — pallet four-way vehicles, box six-way vehicles, pallet handling robots, and box handling robots — Automation & Robotics has seen overseas market sales account for more than half of its total revenue.

"Our core products have been sold to over 20 countries, including Mexico, Egypt, and Indonesia, serving leading companies in the food cold chain, retail distribution, new energy, and smart manufacturing sectors," Xie said.
