Liangjiang to host international investment and trade fair

The eighth Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT) will be held from May 21 to 24 in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area.

The fair will feature four main thematic exhibition areas covering a total of 110,000 square meters. Of these, the productive services exhibition area will focus on cutting-edge achievements in low-carbon environmental protection, modern logistics, and healthcare, and the international and regional cooperation exhibition area will bring together specialty products from over 30 countries and regions, offering a one-stop global shopping experience.

Nearly 40 activities will be held, including an opening ceremony, thematic events, investment and trade matchmaking, and consumer promotion, showcasing Chongqing's high-quality development achievements and highlighting new technologies, business formats, and models in artificial intelligence, the low-altitude economy, and advanced materials.

The fair will upgrade the global procurement docking mechanism, inviting over 100 top enterprises from more than 20 countries and regions, including Brazil, Myanmar, and Malaysia, to release procurement lists.

The United Kingdom, this year’s guest country of honor, will host an economic and trade cooperation matchmaking conference and conduct on-site inspections, while Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, the guest city, will hold an industry cooperation promotion conference and unveil the China-Korea Economic Friendship Cooperation Center.

The fair will create new consumer scenarios by hosting an intelligent connected new energy vehicle carnival, featuring nearly 20 mainstream car brands and offering an immersive experience.
