Many families, particularly those with dual incomes or engaged in new forms of employment such as food delivery riders, couriers, and ride-hailing drivers, struggle to find suitable care and engaging activities for their children during the summer holidays.

To address this, Longshan subdistrict in Liangjiang New Area has launched free summer public classes, offering a safe, fulfilling, and enjoyable summer haven for children.

These classes introduce an innovative curriculum that combines tutoring, quality development, and outdoor activities, featuring a creative crafts class where children can engage in clay modeling, paper-cutting, and painting.

A strong emphasis is placed on summer safety education, targeting high-risk areas for minors, with the program covering essential topics including water safety, traffic rules, and heat and electrical safety.

Abstract safety knowledge is transformed into tangible, relatable lessons through case studies, interactive Q&A sessions, and immersive scenario simulations, helping children identify safety risks, acquire basic self-rescue and protection skills, and foster a "safety first, prevention foremost" mindset.

The community also organizes outdoor activities tailored to children's physical abilities, including fun jump-rope challenges, group relays, and team-building games, encouraging children to step outside, enjoy the sunshine, and connect with nature.
