Chongqing has launched a three-year action plan to enhance its international service environment, focusing on improving services related to dining, accommodation, and entertainment.
The city plans to implement foreign service policies in key urban areas by the end of 2026, ensuring 95 percent of signage is standardized in both Chinese and English.
It also aims to introduce five premium inbound tourism routes and establish 10 professional volunteer teams dedicated to foreign-related services. Over 100 new tax-refund stores and more than 1,000 dining establishments will be introduced to enhance consumer convenience.
The focus will be on refining foreign service standards, enhancing service networks across various sectors, and improving both hardware and software services to elevate the overall service efficiency and quality.
Chongqing intends to further optimize its foreign service platforms, processes, and standards by innovating service models and products and establishing a service system that aligns with international demands, with the ultimate goal of creating a world-class international service environment.
Some key initiatives include enhancing foreign policy consultation, improving international communication language services, and strengthening consumer convenience services.
