Liangjiang revitalizes idle assets to drive industrial growth

Liangjiang New Area's Longsheng New City has transformed nearly 10,000 square meters of idle factory space, launching the Yanfeng International Automotive Safety Component Project.

This initiative has attracted a direct investment of 70 million yuan (10.34 million) and is expected to generate an annual revenue of 610 million yuan once it reaches full production capacity.

The revitalized facilities comprise two standard factories in the Liangjiang International Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park, covering a total area of 9,891.4 square meters. Originally constructed with outdated fire safety standards and spatial layouts, these buildings were unsuitable for modern high-end manufacturing needs, leading to their prolonged disuse.

To address these challenges, Liangjiang undertook a comprehensive renovation that included structural reinforcement, upgraded fire protection systems, and spatial reconfiguration.

These improvements transformed the factories into state-of-the-art production spaces suitable for high-end manufacturing. Following more than a year of renovations, Yanfeng signed a lease and began operations.

"Signing the contract is just the beginning; the true test lies in production," said a local official. To facilitate the transition, authorities coordinated policy adjustments and conducted on-site research, streamlining necessary procedures within a compliance framework to expedite project setup.

The project is now operational, boosting production capacity and creating 200 job opportunities, filling a significant gap in Chongqing's automotive passive safety system research and manufacturing sector.

The project has driven growth across the local industrial chain, attracting interest from upstream component suppliers to establish operations in the park.

Liangjiang continues to advance the revitalization of existing assets, seeking to transform idle resources into industrial growth through strategic positioning, professional renovation, and robust compliance support.
