Chongqing airport sets new summer travel records

Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport reached significant milestones this summer travel season, achieving passenger throughput of 9.88 million, a 9.8 percent increase compared to last year.

The airport managed 65,000 takeoffs and landings, up 8.9 percent, while international passenger throughput soared to 506,000, a substantial 22.6 percent increase.

The airport now operates around 23 daily flights to Xinjiang, 14 to Xizang, and 29 to Yunnan, while also maintaining 40 international routes with over 250 weekly flights to major cities such as Seattle, Milan, and Phnom Penh.
