Changan Automobile launched its latest SDA Pilot technology on Sept 4, coinciding with the pre-sale commencement of the Qiyuan Q06, the first vehicle to feature this state-of-the-art system.

Changan's commitment to intelligentization has spanned over a decade, with an investment of over 60 billion yuan ($8.94 billion) in this field, including 22.5 billion yuan dedicated to intelligent products.

Advancing its "pan-safety" concept, Changan Automobile is shifting from "passive safety" to "proactive intelligent safety", housing China's only key laboratory dedicated to intelligent vehicle safety technology and establishing the Changan Automobile SDA Pilot Experiment Center.

The SDA Pilot system utilizes LiDAR (light detection and ranging) for active detection and operates at 10Hz, enabling it to identify obstacles in low-light, backlight, and adverse weather conditions more swiftly than human drivers.

This system employs a one-stage, end-to-end large model, trained on over 20 million high-quality data segments, with driving maneuvers such as acceleration, lane changing, and cornering that mimic those of seasoned drivers.

The Changan Qiyuan Q06 integrates features such as highway NCA (navigation on cruise assistance), urban NCA, over 400 intelligent parking assistance scenarios, and 31 active safety features. The one-stage end-to-end navigation ensures seamless operation across all road conditions, from urban streets to highways.
