Singapore and Chongqing strengthen accounting cooperation

A delegation from Singapore's accounting services sector visited the Chongqing Jiangbeizui Accounting Industrial Park on Sept 5, marking a significant milestone in the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity.

The delegation gained valuable insights into the park's transformation from a hub for professional service firms to a facility integrating accounting, finance, and digitalization, exploring its industrial layout, accounting services, and cross-border business support systems.

Cai Chunchao, a local official, emphasized the park's commitment to institutional innovation, industrial support, and service enhancement, providing international organizations with ready-to-use policy support and institutional guarantees.

The delegation expressed a strong desire to advance cooperation in resource sharing, talent development, and digital transformation within the accounting services sector.

The Chongqing government is committed to improving the business environment, supporting foreign accounting firms in establishing and expanding operations, and encouraging local enterprises to collaborate with their Singaporean counterparts in areas such as digital transformation, cross-border compliance consulting, and extending service chains.
