Chongqing team triumphs at Asian Indoor Skydiving Championships

The Chongqing Jihua Park indoor skydiving team clinched the championship with a commanding 51-point lead over the runners-up in the four-person vertical formation skydiving (VFS) category at the second FAI Asian Indoor Skydiving Championships, which concluded on Sept 20 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Under the leadership of captain Li Yi, and featuring talented members Liu Lu, Zhao Long, and He Hucan, the team delivered a series of consistent and outstanding performances.

Over the four-day competition, their composure paid off, particularly in the seventh round, where they scored an unprecedented 55 points, setting a new Asian record for a single-round performance.

Their unwavering high-level performance throughout the event also shattered the Asian record for average scores in this category. The Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI) has recognized these two record-breaking achievements, marking a new milestone in the history of Asian indoor skydiving.

Jihua Park, the team's primary training base, is a state-of-the-art indoor skydiving facility that integrates professional training with public experiences. Equipped with international-standard vertical wind tunnel equipment, the center is accessible to both professional teams and enthusiasts, offering a comprehensive range of courses from beginner to advanced levels.
