Liangjiang communities welcome National Day

Communities in Liangjiang New Area recently hosted activities to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Cuihu Road community residents crafted traditional bamboo lanterns, while a creative workshop in Longxiang Street community let participants use traditional printing techniques to design cultural blessing bags filled with Mid-Autumn imagery and heartfelt wishes.

Longchang Street community offered children a unique cultural experience by inviting intangible cultural heritage practitioners to guide them in crafting handmade jade rabbits, providing a hands-on introduction to the allure of traditional customs.

Volunteers also helped children create unique handmade items that symbolized their hopes for the Mid-Autumn full moon and their blessings for the country's anniversary on Oct 1.

Minxing Road community hosted vine basket weaving, Kaige Road community organized folk blessing sachet making, Feihu Road community featured DIY lantern crafting, and Longwang Street community offered straw hat DIY activities.

Interactive games and activities further enhanced the festive atmosphere, with Longshun Street community featuring mooncake picking, ring toss games, and a quiz that integrated Mid-Autumn customs with patriotic knowledge and disaster prevention awareness.

Guanyinyan Road community and Lushan community held a traditional sticky rice cake-making activity, where residents collaborated to create and enjoy this sweet delicacy.

In Wuxing Road community, residents held a classic reading event, reciting ancient Mid-Autumn poetry and patriotic literature to celebrate the nation's rich cultural heritage.
