Over 190 enterprises are scheduled to launch branches in Liangjiang's Jiangbeizui Central Business District (CBD) in the next six months, according to an investment fair held by the Jiangbeizui CBD administrative committee on Sept 22.
"The main construction of Jiangbeizui CBD has been completed," said Du Heping, director of the Jiangbeizui administrative committee. Approximately 2 million square meters of office space has been put into operation to date, and in the first half of this year, Jiangbeizui CBD attracted a total investment of 7.6 billion yuan ($1.19 billion).
Jiangbeizui CBD has been working on constructing itself into an area with comprehensive functions capable of attracting enterprises from a variety of industries. As of June this year, 412 enterprises had entered the district, bringing with them a registered capital of 29.50 billion yuan.
A modern financial industry has taken shape in the area; it is currently home to 74 financial enterprises that have set their headquarters in the district.
