China's flagship sedan, known as Hongqi (or Red Flat), recently opened a new showroom in Chongqing's Northern New District, according to the Liangjiang administrative committee.
To mark the occasion, an opening ceremony was held by FAW Group Corporation. Tang Hong, general manager assistant of the Hongqi division of the FAW Group Corporation, was among those in attendance at the ceremony.
FAW is a Chinese State-owned automotive manufacturing company headquartered in Changchun, Jilin province. FAW became the country's first automobile manufacturer when it unveiled the nation's first domestically produced passenger car, the Hongqi, in 1958.
The new showroom of Hongqi in Chongqing municipality is its 18th exhibition shop in China.
The Hongqi H7 entered the market in May 2013 and has since become the official vehicle for Chinese leaders in a number of international events, such as the Euro Asia Economic Forum, Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation and The World Gymnastics Championships. Given the official use of FAW's Hongqi sedan in international conferences, awareness and reputation has reached new heights. To meet the needs of different target consumers, the price of the Hongqi H7 ranges from 249,800 yuan ($39,343.50) to 479,800 yuan.
During the store's opening promotional period, customers who buy a new Hongqi H7 can enjoy a four-year vehicle warranty period with free vehicle maintenance.
