Thirteen tons of Australian beef, worth $30,800, was imported to Chongqing by air for the first time, liangjiang.gov.cn reported.
As chilled meat has a relatively short shelf life, air transportation is necessary. Chongqing Inspection Bureau applied to the AQSIQ (General Administration of Quality Supervision and lnspection) for supporting policies.
Apart from chilled meat, imported infant milk power was sent to Chongqing via Yuxinou Railway. The inspection took a new model which saved approximately 20 days compared with traditional procedures.
