AT&S has invested €480 million in Liangjiang New Area, the biggest investment for the firm ever. It has two plants in Chongqing.

The first plant makes packaging and loading plates that link chips and printed circuit boards (PCB). A packaging and loading plate is a platform linking semiconductor (chips) and PCB, and is widely used in the micro processors of computers, telecommunication devices, and automobiles.

The second plant will produce the latest high-end PCB, and is expected to begin production by the latter half of this year.

AT&S is the largest PCB manufacturer in Europe, and has a leading position globally. Its products are widely used in mobile devices, automobiles, and in industry and medical electronics.

The company has production facilities at Leoben and Fehring in Austria, Ansan in Korea, Nanjangud in India, and Shanghai in China.

AT&S took the latest step in implementing its high-tech strategy by entering the IC substrate business as part of a collaboration agreement with a leading global semiconductor manufacturer.

AT&S entered the Chinese market in 2000. It has established a factory in Shanghai focusing on high-end PCB for mobile devices and automobiles.

AT&S has become competitive in the electronic information industry by combining high-end factories in China with innovation and management expertise.
