Chongqing to host international investment and global sourcing fair

The 19th Chongqing International Investment and Global Sourcing Fair is to be held from May 19 to 22, liangjiang.gov.cn reported.

The fair is co-sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, the Three Gorge Office of the State Council, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Chongqing Municipal Government.

This year's theme is implementation of the Sino-Singapore (Chongqing) Strategic Connectivity Initiative and construction of a bridge connecting Asia and Europe.

So far, a total of 65 municipal delegations from 16 countries have signed up for the fair.

Over 253 Top 500 companies including ASUS, ACER, BASF, CNPC (China National Petroleum Corporation ) and Huawei are involved.

More than 2,500 businessmen will attend the fair, among them 483 at or above the level of VP of China in their respective companies.

In addition, officials from the US, the Czech Republic, Greece, and Romania will be in attendance, together with ambassadors from Ethiopia, Italy, Cambodia and Australia.
