Jiangbeizui Central Business District Investment Group is to sign an agreement with the Ameuro Sci-Tech Alliance to launch a Sino-Singapore (Chongqing) Connectivity Innovative Center.

The signing ceremony will be held during the 19th Chongqing International Investment fair, which opened on May 19.

The two sides hope to establish an open economy pilot zone in the Liangjiang New Area based on five major platforms, namely scientific innovation, start-up companies, business and commerce, education and business recruitment.

The scientific innovation center will be populated by renowned Singapore universities, with the purpose of creating high-end innovation programs.

The start-up companies’ platform will work on incubation centers to bring high-end talented professionals from Singapore to the Liangjiang New Area.

The business and commerce platform will try to enhance Chongqing’s competitiveness by utilizing Singapore’s edge in these areas.

The business recruitment platform will bring in Singapore companies in modern logistics, smart manufacturing, financial services, and educational training to establish subsidiaries or joint ventures in the new area.

The Jiangbeizui Financial Core Area already has over 500 companies, more than 140 of them being financial firms. It is anticipated that the CBD will have attracted 600 financial institutions by the end of this year.

A financial cluster has emerged with banks, securities and insurance agencies as the core. New financial institutions and intermediate service agencies are facilitating each other within the cluster.

The Jiangbeizui Investment Group has been expanding its international horizons, reaching for the US, UK, Singapore, and Hong Kong after the Sino-Singapore (Chongqing) Strategic Connectivity Initiative was launched.

As awareness of the advantages of Chongqing Municipality, the Liangjiang New Area and the Jiangbeizui financial core area spreads, the CBD is positioned to be an open economy pilot platform in the Liangjiang New Area.

The Chongqing Jiangbeizui CBD Investment Group was established in 2005. It is a state owned enterprise under the administration of the Liangjiang New Area, focusing on real estate development, engineering construction and project inspection.

The Ameuro Sci-Tech Alliance was initiated by the Canada-China International Chamber of Commerce, the Canada Chinese Information Technology Association, and the Canada Information Group.
