Airport shuttle bus service to Chongqing’s Jiangbei International Airport started operation on July 13.
The ticket price is ten yuan ($1.49), five yuan ($0.75) less than the previous price.
The 30 Yutong buses, all no. 1, have 45 comfortable seats and enough space for luggage. They will greatly facilitate passengers’ travel to the airport.
The Chongqing Public Traffic Holding Group Co has introduced Singapore’s air travel training system to provide the bus passengers with services such as luggage claiming and departure reminders similar to those in Singapore.
The buses are equipped with USB connections for cell phone and laptop charging. They also offer WiFi, so that travelers will soon be able to buy tickets through WeChat and certain other websites and apps.
The bus service has advantages over Chongqing Metro Line 3, which also goes directly to the airport. For example, it offers point-to-point service and will soon cover all flights. It is also still in service after the last train of metro line 3 has stopped running.
