Pand Auto, a car-hailing platform for new energy vehicles, and China's leading low-cost airline West Air, launched their "green commuting" program in Liangjiang New Area, Southwest China's Chongqing, on July 1.
Under the cooperation agreement, the two companies will build up a green transport service system in the area, catering to many transport problems, especially the "last mile" from airports to hotels.
"Based on the data of real-time tourist flow offered by West Air, we will coordinate and arrange our vehicles accordingly so that tourists can get to their destination without any delay," said Gao Yu, CEO of Pand Auto.
She added that in the future, users of Pand Auto will be able to use its mobile app to book West Air's flights. In return, passengers and employees of West Air will be able to enjoy many rewards when renting electronic vehicles from Pand Auto.
In addition, users will also receive a wide range of special offers and membership privileges when it comes to holidays and vacations.
Local officials see Pand Auto's partnership with West Air to pursue "green commuting" as an excellent opportunity for Liangjiang New Area to embrace an eco-friendly economy and sustainable development.
