According to Chongqing's bureau of statistics, the output volume of 333 out of 391 industrial products made in the municipality in Southwest China recorded year-on-year increases in January and February, with the table below showing more details.
The rate of sales of products made during the period by companies above a designated size – those with annual sales of 20 million yuan or more – hit 99.5 percent, worth 69.84 billion yuan ($10.48 billion), an increase of 102.6 percent on the previous year.
In addition, the added-value of production in different sectors in January and February also enjoyed varying increases.
"Last year, the main economic indicators dropped abruptly due to the novel coronavirus pandemic," according to one official from the Chongqing's bureau of statistics.
"The economy began to rebound this year and we have grasped the development momentum, thanks to the construction of Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and subsidies granted by the nation," he added.
