Liangjiang's consumption totals 61.86b yuan in Jan-Sept

In the first three quarters, Liangjiang New Area in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality reported 61.86 billion yuan ($8.62 billion) in retail sales of consumer goods, up 10.7 percent from the corresponding period last year.

This is 3.3 percentage points higher than Chongqing's average, ranking it first in the municipality by this metric.

Over this period, Liangjiang's wholesale, retail, accommodation and catering sectors increased by 18.5 percent, 29.1 percent, 24.8 percent, and 14.1 percent, respectively.

Meanwhile, the new area's automobile retail sales above a designated size accounted for over one third of that of Chongqing, with Avatr having established its national headquarters, and Tesla, Li Auto, Zeekr and other auto brands setting up their regional head offices in Liangjiang.

The modern service bureau of the new area has implemented a new energy vehicle (NEV) purchasing campaign, boosting NEV sales to 2.32 billion yuan.

During the May Day holiday, about 20 million yuan of coupons were issued.

Liangjiang's key shopping complexes registered 470 million yuan of sales revenue during the Mid-Autumn and National Day holidays.
