Significant enterprises in Liangjiang New Area in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality reported $3.57 billion in total service trade volume from January to September this year, and the service outsourcing contracts totaled $192 million, ranking first in Chongqing.

Liangjiang's annual service trade output growth exceeded 20 percent from 2012 to 2018, with its service trade being the top of Chongqing from 2019 to 2022.

The cross-border sci-tech loan product issued by the new area aims to further lower the financing costs for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by leveraging overseas capital with low costs. In March, the loan product became one of the best practical cases selected by the State Council to be applied nationwide.

Liangjiang also boasts robust digital trade, driving the entire western China, with the Tmall cross-border e-commerce flagship store, JD international cross-border experience store, and other innovative digital trade projects set up.

Meanwhile, actions have been taken to encourage local digital products, including games, movies, TV programs, and cartoons, to go global.

The Lianglu Guoyuan Port Comprehensive Bonded Zone brought in over 40 cross-border e-commerce enterprises in 2022, registering 8.5 billion yuan ($1.18 billion) in cross-border e-commerce trading volume, up 10.3 percent.
