Liangjiang lists major tasks to be done in 2024

This year, Liangjiang New Area will work on enhancing its industrial system, spatial layout, and reform promotion.

Specifically, it will accelerate the transformation of its automotive industry towards intellgentization and electrification, upgrade the value chain of its next generation of electronic information manufacturing sector, and enhance the aggregation level of its software and information services.

It will maintain the rapid growth of its life and health industry, expedite the development of its new energy storage industry, promote the rapid implementation of its aerospace industry projects, cultivate its new generation internet sector, and accelerate the layout of its sustainable and low-carbon industries.

It will promote the industry-city integration of Longsheng New City, and collaborate with Jiangbei, Beibei, and Yubei district in promoting regional prosperity.

Regarding the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, Liangjiang New Area will deepen cooperation with Chengdu's Tianfu New Area in industries such as automobiles and electronics. They will jointly build an advanced manufacturing industrial cluster.

Liangjiang will expand its effective investment, actively construct new consumer spaces, continuously expand bulk consumption in automobiles, and strengthen health, elderly care, and childcare services. It will also vigorously develop its livestreaming e-commerce, instant retail, and other digital consumption channels, while also carrying out innovative pilot projects for cross-border e-commerce retail imports.

Efforts will also be made to enhance the operational capacity of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor, accelerate the construction of international multimodal transport logistics distribution centers, and expand emerging formats such as biopharmaceutical imports and exports, and second-hand car exports.

It will target central enterprises and foreign-funded enterprises in investment promotion, and will make good use of events and open platforms such as the Smart China Expo and the Western China International Fair.

Finally, the new area will promote the renovation of old factory buildings and old residential areas, while also coordinating the improvement of urban functions.
