Liangjiang's aerospace information industry receives boost

The Aerospace Information Industry International Ecosystem Conference 2024 is being held in Liangjiang New Area from Sept 2 to 4.

On Sept 3, a special forum focusing on the integration and application of spatial information technology took place as part of the conference.

Organized by China Siwei Surveying and Mapping Technology Co, the forum gathered experts, scholars, and industry representatives from the spatial information sector to discuss emerging trends, innovative technologies, and new applications in spatial information construction.

Founded in 1992, China Siwei is a specialized subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, dedicated to the development of remote sensing satellite applications. The company is currently developing a new generation of commercial remote sensing satellite systems, with the aim of becoming a leading spatiotemporal information service provider both domestically and globally in the digital economy era.

In July, Liangjiang authorities and China Siwei signed a strategic cooperation agreement, aiming to use China Siwei's strengths in data acquisition, application, and solutions, along with its research and innovation capabilities, to create a new regional hub for the digital economy.

China Siwei is accelerating the establishment of a subsidiary in the area, which is expected to be officially launched in October.

This new entity will serve as China Siwei's professional platform for developing industry-specific spatiotemporal information services and its headquarters in the southwestern region of China.
