Liangjiang New Area reported a significant increase in new business registrations during the first nine months of this year, with 10,295 domestic enterprises and 109 overseas enterprises added. This highlights its attractiveness as a hub for both local and international businesses.

This surge can be attributed to the area's favorable business environment. Liangjiang has continuously optimized its business registration processes through initiatives like a one-stop online service platform, which lowers entry barriers, simplifies procedures, and enhances efficiency, enabling swift business establishment.

Liangjiang has been at the forefront of innovation. It has trialed an administrative adjudication mechanism for enterprise name disputes, which allows for autonomous name registration and significantly reduces application processing time.

Reforms aimed at streamlining business setups, such as separating permits and licenses, have reduced steps, materials, time, and costs. Consequently, over 99 percent of business registrations are completed online, with a 100 percent same-day completion rate.

Regarding digital transformation, Liangjiang has introduced reforms promoting electronic signatures, seals, and business licenses, facilitating paperless registration processes for all business entities.

The area has also focused on meeting enterprise needs by implementing the pre-establishment national treatment and negative list system for foreign investment. This includes enabling cross-border information flow for commercial registration documents for Hong Kong investors, significantly enhancing the ease of establishing cross-border businesses.
