In Liangjiang New Area, the Certified Robotics Research Institute (CRRI) is a leading force in the robotics industry.

Established in 2014, CRRI is the sole national third-party robotics testing and certification institution in China's central and western regions. Its 15,000-square-meter laboratory, equipped with over 200 advanced testing devices, offers a world-class evaluation platform for complete robots and core components.

CRRI operates several national-level testing and certification platforms, including the National Robot Testing and Evaluation Center (Chongqing), the National Robot Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (Chongqing), and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Public Service Platform for the Robotics Industry.

Wang Yuqin, chief engineer of CRRI's mobile robotics testing group, highlights that their testing capabilities are extensive and cover a wide range of robotics. These include industrial, collaborative, hybrid, special-purpose, and bionic robots, as well as AGVs, AMRs, intelligent forklifts, and rotary and fixed-wing drones.

In recent years, CRRI has initiated several pioneering test projects in the country, such as an explosion-proof robot testing laboratory, wind and rain-resistant outdoor drone testing systems, and intelligent scene adaptability assessments.

The facility also offers popular testing services like component and reliability evaluations. In addition to robotics, CRRI extends its component testing services to the smart equipment, automotive, and medical device sectors.
