Kawasaki Heavy Industries from Japan signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Liangjiang Robot Finance Lease Company on Oct 13. The agreement is aimed at promoting the construction of a robotics system integration project and robot construction base in Liangjiang.

At the signing ceremony, Kawasaki also released its new product, the 'duAro robot'.

Kawasaki, a world-leading robot construction company, took the lead in the development of a new robotics system integration project and robot construction base in Liangjiang Shuitu Industrial Park by committing a substantial investment on June 19. The investment commitment marks a notable step in the development of Chongqing's robotics industry.

Tang Zongwei, deputy director of the Liangjiang administrative committee, attended the conference where he delivered a speech. According to Tang, robots will replace humans in some production areas to reduce the cost, increase the efficiency and create better jobs.

Over 20 robot enterprises have settled in the new area, creating somewhat of a robot industrial cluster.

"The production industry requires artificially intelligent mechanisms to increase productivity," said a senior staff member from the Chongqing Xinhua Logistics Company.

Under the wave of production automation, more and more production companies have begun introducing industrial robots into the production line to improve productivity. According to the Chongqing Science Association, 14 automated production lines were put into use in 2014, marking the large-scale application of robots in production lines.

As a leading company in Liangjiang’s robotics industry, Kawasaki currently has approximately 50,000 industrial robots on sale in the world, covering different industries such as auto manufacturing, electronic and machinery manufacturing. Kawasaki began building and selling industrial robots in 1969 and has now grown into one of the world's top five robot mainframe construction enterprises. Other than construction, Kawasaki also provides customers with a professional after-sales service and technical support.
