CISDI Engineering enters India steel market

CISDI Engineering Company recently won a contract bid for a KPO steel factory for Tata Steel, the liangjiang.gov.cn reported.

CISDI outbid engineering companies in the UK, South Korea, Italy, and Luxemburg for its expertise in consulting design and general layout, showcasing China’s metallurgy .

The KPO 2 Blast furnace volume is expected to be the world’s largest at 5960 cubic meters . It is CISDI’s first steel project in India.

As one of the oldest and most esteemed iron companies in India, Tata has world-level expertise. CISDI gave effective suggestions on the new steel factory and won the recognition of Tata Steel.

The successful bid means blast furnace technology has entered the Indian market. It is also a step for Chongqing companies to internationalies their brands.

In recent years, many Liangjiang companies have entered the international market. Chongqing Railway Vehicle Company has sold subways to to Argentina and is considering overseas expansions elsewhere.

From January to August, Chongqiang Liangjiang New Area exported parts totaling 3.4 billion yuan, and machines worth 67 billion yuan, showing the ambition of local companies in exploring the overseas market.
