T3A Terminal to be put into operation

The main construction project of the T3A Terminal is near completion, with the capping finished. The terminal will be put into use by the fourth quarter of 2016.

The T3A Terminal is 530,000 square meters, twice the area of the T1 and T2 terminals combined.

After the terminal is put into operation, Chongqing Airport will have an area of 700,000 square meters. A 380, the largest passenger plane in the world, will be able to take off and land here.

The new terminal’s annual passenger capacity is 45 million and its annual cargo capacity is 1.1 million tons.
