Chongqing works on 40 infrastructure projects

Chongqing will accelerate infrastructure construction in 2016. It plans to build 579 kilometers of new bridges and construct 40 projects involving bridges and tunnels, liangajing.gov.cn reported.

Construction of the Shuitu Jialingjiang Bridge will begin this year and finish in 2018. Upon completion the bridge will become an important part of the city express way road net.

Caijia Bridge will start from Libai Road and end at Caijia. It is expected to be completed by 2018 with a total length of 3.6 kilometers.

Guojiatuo Yangtze River Bridge will have a total length of 1360 meters. The four-year project is expected to drive the economic and social development of the Liangjkiang New Area.

According to the Chongqing Urban and Rural Construction Commission, the city will accelerate construction of 150 kilometers of railways.
