Chongqing Coffee Trade Center opens

The Chongqing Coffee Trade Center opened in the Liangjiang New Area on June 16, receiving investment from Yunnan Hehong Hougu Coffee Enterprise and Chongqing Energy Group.

According to a senior from Liangjiang, the coffee trade center is expected to become the biggest coffee trade center in China. Relying on the Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe Railway and Yangtze River channel, Chongqing has been working on constructing itself into the third largest coffee trade center in world.

The center received investment from Yunnan Hehong Hougu Coffee Enterprise and Chongqing Energy Group.

The new coffee trade center is expected to turnover 2-3 billion ($304 million- $455 million) this year, while in 2020, the annual trade volume is expected to exceed 10 billion. Huang Qifan, deputy director of Chongqing municipality was among those in attendance at the opening ceremony.
