The Chongqing foreign trade & economic relations commission said on Aug 9 that Chongqing will hold a commodity and equipment display in Senegal in November.

The display will last from Nov 25 to 29 in Senegal, West Africa’s most important traffic hub. The country is a core member of the African Monetary Union and the Economic Community of West African States.

China regards the country as a partner in production capacity cooperation as it has a big market of 300 million people. Chongqing mainly exports automotive products including motorcycles, piston motors and convertible cars.

The 2015 foreign trade volume between the two countries reached $ 10.5 billion, a year-on-year increase of 94.28 percent.

The commodity display will be held in the Dakar International Trade Fair, West Africa’s biggest and most influential trade fair with a history of over 40 years.

The fair will open a Chinese pavilion for Chongqing’s products including cars, motorcycles, general purpose engines and agricultural machinery. Chongqing’s various famous companies are now applying for the exhibition.

The exhibition’s organizer, Chongqing’s foreign trade chamber, has extended the application deadline to Aug 12 from Aug 5.
