Two international automobile expos, the China (Chongqing) International Automotive Technology Expo 2017 (Auto Tech), and the 2017 China (Chongqing) Automobile Intelligent Manufacturing Technology and Material Expo (CAIMTME), will convene at the Chongqing International Expo Center in Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing from March 22 to 24, 2017.

China (Chongqing) International Automotive Technology Expo 2017 (Auto Tech), the largest automotive technology expo in China, will be co-organized by the China-Europe Association for Technical and Economic Cooperation (CEATEC) and the Society of Automatic Engineers of Chongqing.

The exhibition area measures 30,000 square meters and will be divided into five themed exhibitions, featuring automotive electronics technology, automotive lightweight technology, and eco-friendly vehicles.

The expo will invite leading automakers, auto research institutes and tier-one suppliers to visit the show. It will also cover all the important topics of the industry, which will attract more than 500 of the largest firms in the industry.

The CAIMTME has been successfully held for six years and it will be co-organized by the China Association of Automobile Manufactures (CAMM), China Innovative League of Automobile Manufacturing Equipment and Chongqing Economy and Information Committee.

The expo is expected to cover an area of 46,000 square meters, with over 600 leading companies exhibiting products at the show. More than 30,000 industry experts from all over the world will visit four main exhibitions, including the Automobile Manufacturing Technology and Equipment Exhibition, Intelligent Automobile Technology and Auto Electronics Exhibition, Automobile Material and Related Parts Exhibition, New Energy Vehicles and Charging Pile Technology Equipment Exhibition.

The global auto industry has been betting on China’s west in recent years, especially Chongqing, the only municipality in southwestern China. Chongqing has become the largest automobile manufacturing city in China. It is a good chance for companies exhibiting their products at the expos to expand their market in China. The two expos are expected to provide a perfect platform for automotive industries targeting the central and western regions.
