Shopaholics and foodies in Chongqing are expected to head for the 2016 China (Chongqing) Commodity Exhibition and Trading Fair, which will run at the Yuelai International Expo Center from Oct 13-16.

The four-day event, the largest consumer exhibition in Chongqing, will be themed around good food, shopping, and a celebration of the city. The event will cover a total demonstration area of more than 130,000 square meters and aims to create a brand-new commercial experience, enabling consumers to enjoy shopping and entertainment.

More than 300 famous leisure brands will feature at the event, showcasing products such as outdoor equipment, fishing equipment, yachts and caravans. Cross-border e-commerce firms will bring 100,000 types of products to the exhibition and will be selling at maximum discounts, likely creating strong demand from local shoppers.

Also on show will be a pavilion featuring new cultural and creative commerce ideas, and it is expected to draw many artsy types, who will be able to enjoy the coffee, desserts, book stores and floriculture. The Chongqing International Food Festival gathers not only famous local food but also exciting tastes from across the world, such as Italian ice cream and Japanese sushi. Visitors can also buy over 50 kinds of rare fruit from 16 countries at favorable prices.

This is the fourth-time Chongqing will be hosting the China Commodity Exhibition and Trading Fair, and it has achieved great success at promoting local trade and cultural exchange during the past events.
