Portugal electric company seeks cooperation with Liangjiang

Joao Marques da Cruz, executive director of Energias de Portugal (EDP), led a delegation to Chongqing Liangjiang Changxing Electric Power Co Ltd to seek deeper strategic cooperation, reported liangjiang.gov.cn on Jan 23.

EDP, ranks among Europe’s major electricity operators, and is one of Portugal’s largest business groups. The delegation provided some technical references and development suggestions for Liangjiang Changxing Electric Power.

EDP also shared some of their business and operations experiences through projects in the field of smart power grid and new energy with the young company.

Both spoke about the construction and operation of an electric distribution network, distributed energy systems, power supply, and user services. The delegation toured Liangjiang New Area Industrial Development Zone, and expressed great confidence for further cooperation with Liangjiang.

This latest inspection will spur the two companies’ to cooperate across a wider range of fields and projects than before, said a manager from Chongqing Liangjiang Changxing Electric Power. It will lay a sound foundation for future strategic cooperation, he said.
