Liangjiang New Area in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality signed an agreement with Tianfu New Area in Southwest China's Sichuan province on Nov 20. The deal covers the development of the service industry and the establishment of a modern industrial system, which are both critical parts of the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.

Both areas will enhance cooperation in industrial development, investment attraction, platform construction and resourcing sharing.

According to the agreement, Liangjiang and Tianfu will research industry planning, industry policies and the industry development evaluation system.

They will also co-establish a cooperation platform to share information and work together to promote the development of industrial clusters.

Relying on pilot free trade zones in both Liangjiang and Tianfu, the areas will learn from each other regarding business environment improvement, opening-up of the modern service industry and supporting policies for opening-up.

Liangjiang and Tianfu will also co-build international consumption centers, featured street blocks and high-end consumption places. The areas will also strive to attract regional headquarters of transnational corporations.

The agreement also covers the sharing of business resources, co-holding of significant business events and the contract's implementation details.
