Liangjiang New Area deepened its reform of the administrative review and approval system, creating a more efficient work environment. On May 12, Chongqing Municipal Fire Corps and Liangjiang New Area jointly declared that pilot reform of the fire protection approval system would be carried out in May. This reform is expected to further accelerate new review and approval process and vigorously support the area’s economic development.
With the separation between administrative and technical review and approval, the time taken has been shortened and the work efficiency significantly enhanced.
The new pilot reform removes the technical review from the entire administrative review and approval process, which shortens the time into three workdays from the previous ten and makes review and approval more efficient.
This pilot reform covers the following areas: Yuzui, Fusheng and Guojiatuo community in Jiangbei District; Longxing and Shichuan in Yubei District; Shuitu and Fuxing in Beibei District; Chongqing Cuntan Free Trade Port Area, Chongqing Jiangbeizui Investment Group and Chongqing Yuelai Investment Group in Liangjiang New Area; Guoyuan Port and Cuntan Port of the Chongqing Port Logistics Group Co., Ltd.
Meanwhile, Liangjiang New Area is providing "Green Channel" services for all items' review and approval in areas directly under the New Area’s administration, reducing the time needed by over 70% on average compared with legal time limits. The pilot reform of the fire protection plan review and approval system will further quicken procedures handling and speed up the operations of projects under construction. It will also have a great impact on creating a first-class work environment in the New Area, making it better able to attract businesses and investment and accelerate the area’s economic development.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
