Chongqing Liangjiang New Area and LeTV Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing on May 22. The two sides will collaborate to build a base for the online video and audio-visual industry. It is reported that this agreement marks significant steps towards building a cultural industry. Ling Yueming, secretary of the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Party working committee and director of the Chongqing Liangjiang administrative committee, and Jia Yueting, founder and CEO of LeTV Group, attended the relevant activities.
According to the agreement, Liangjiang New Area will take full advantage of the new development area’s functional platform, while LeTV Group will give full play to its advantages as a leading enterprise in the online video and audio-visual industry. The two sides will cooperate in various fields, including the online video and audio-visual industry, intelligent terminal, ecological agriculture and cross-border e-commerce, which will help promote Liangjiang New Area to create a modern service industry base.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
