Industrial enterprises in Liangjiang New Area thrived in both production and marketing from January to April in 2014, and the automobile in Liangjiang New Area (LNA) reached a production value of 66.6 billion yuan ($10.69 billion) in the past four months.

Data released by the Liangjiang New Area administrative committee shows that the area produced 596,600 cars in all from January to April, a 25 percent growth year-on-year.

Of automobile companies that have settled in the new area, Chang'an Ford realized a steady growth of production and marketing from January to April. Models like Mondeo, Fox and Carnival all sold well. The Chang’an Yubei factory and Jiangbei factory also achieved a stable increase in production and sales.

Meanwhile, many well-known auto companies in Yufu Industrial Park constructed and produced cars smoothly. So far, many enterprises of finished automobiles or auto parts have been put into production, including Chang'an Ford, Hankook Tire, Honeywell, Nemak and Chongqing Lingyun.

According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the production and marketing of passenger vehicles increased steadily in the first quarter. Liangjiang New Area will enhance project implementation of DFM mini autos, SAIC-GM-Wuling, and the second phase of Chang’an vehicles to guarantee the rapid expansion of the auto industry of Liangjiang New Area.
