The Yuren Middle School reconstruction project, in the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area, will be completed next June, which can accommodate 3,000 students.
The project is on the former site of the school, and the old buildings have been dismantled. Nine new buildings—three teaching buildings, one administrative building, one gym, one canteen, three student dorms -- have gone up, with a total area of 35,212 square meters.
A new standard football field, three volleyball courts, five basketball courts, 11 pingpong courts and one track have also been built.
It is estimated that by next June, the number of classes will increase from 40 to 60, and the number of students will also increase from 2,000 to 3,000, among which boarding students will account for more than 60 percent.
