On August 11, the integrated smart grid construction project in Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing Municipality, formally passed its inspection by the State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC), it being the first of its kind in the Midwest region.
The integrated smart grid construction project is located at the center of Liangjiang New Area, and is close to Liangjiang's most dominant industries. There is a 220 KV substation, and seven 110 KV substations in the implementation area.
The project has been undertaken in accordance with the SGCC's principle of "unified planning, unified standards and unified construction". With the targets of "high quality", "green", and "happiness”, the project implemented the latest technologies and achievements in the field of smart grid, and built a comprehensive smart grid platform covering 17 sub-items.
Through an on-site survey, document review and question time, the inspection experts agreed that Liangjiang integrated smart grid project has achieved its construction goals and reached domestic leading level for being distinctive and innovative. It has also set up an example for urban smart grid construction.
