Since its inception, Liangjiang New Area has adhered to its theme of "people's livelihood and harmony", and has provided over 2.2 million square meters of replacement housing land for people whose agricultural registered permanent residences have been transferred to urban registered permanent residences.

Resettlement houses (phase one and two) of Hexin Homeland residential area and resettlement houses (phase one) of Heyuan Homeland residential area have now welcomed their new residents. Resettlement housing construction (phase two and three) in Heyuan Homeland residential area and resettlement housing construction in Shuyuan residential area are currently in full swing. Additionally, Shuitu High-tech Park will start building Taishan and Wanshou resettlement houses. Upon completion, they will meet the needs of more than 50,000 households.

A resettlement housing groundbreaking ceremony is held on February 17, 2011, which was Lantern Festival that year.
