On September 23, a trooping ceremony was hosted in the Yuzu detachment of Jiangbei firehouse branch, Chongqing Armed Police, marking the first fire control and special service station in Liangjiang which officially came into use. At the trooping ceremony, Zhao Jun, head of Jiangbei firehouse branch said that the proposal, sighting, project design and other preparatory work for setting up the Yuzu detachment were finished by the end of 2010. Then, the firehouse officially started construction in September 2011, and the main part was finished in September 2013.It passed the acceptance inspection in February 2014,
The project covers an area of about 20 mu (1.3 hectares), with a building area of about 5199 square meters, and a building height of 20.4 meters. Following a construction principle of "keeping a foothold on real practices, integrating peacetime and wartime, combining military training and local services", the station contains a main barracks, training tower, and a training ground in three parts along with various storerooms.
The responsible officer of Yuzu detachment said that the fire control and special service station is an important milestone set up as a security firewall for Liangjiang New Area. The detachment will take this as a new starting point, and effectively improve the abilities of fire fighting and rescue, disaster relief, and handling all types of emergencies and rescue in a bid to protect the economic prosperity and stability in Liangjiang, and people’s lives and work.
