On September 30, which was China's first Martyrs' Day, Ling Yunming, Party committee secretary of Liangjiang New Area and director of Liangjiang New Area Administrative committee, paid a visit to family members of martyrs, model workers, veterans and workers with family difficulties.
During the visit, Ling recalled the historic epic and sent seasonal greetings to senior citizens. He also urged the community workers who took care of these seniors to solve real problems for them.
Later on, Ling visited Chongqing Port Logistics Group where he had a meeting with retired employees and workers who have family difficulties.
He said that today's achievements are based on the contributions from the past. Senior citizens have made a great contribution to the development of Chongqing Port Logistics Group and their suggestions are valuable.
