According to Liangjiang New Area, Yufu Industrial Zone – the first phase of an auto accessory project of Pingyang Industrial Co. has been put into production, and the second phase of the project will kick off soon. The entire project will be in full operation by the end of 2015.

Wang Xiaodong, assistant to the general manager of Chongqing Pingyang Industrial Co. said that with an investment of 510 million yuan ($ 83.3 million), the project located in Yufu Industrial Zone, will mainly produce auto bodies, chassis stamping, and welding parts. The project covers an area of 150 mu (10 hectares), and is expected to achieve an output value of 1.2 billion yuan once it is in full operation.

At present, the construction area of the first phase of the project is 44,000 square meters, including the No.1 factory, an office building, a research and development building, and a staff canteen. Wang said that the automotive industry is an important part of the Yufu Industrial Zone, which provides a superior environment for automobile companies.

Pingyang’s key clients such as Changan Automobile, SAIC-GM-Wuling, and Dongfeng have set up factories in Yufu Industrial Zone and Pingyang Industrial Co plans to move the company’s headquarters to Yufu by the end of this year.

Chongqing Ping Yang Industrial Co. was established in 1992, and is an enterprise specializing in auto accessories production. It’s one of the core suppliers of the China Changan Automobile Group Corporation, Dongfeng Yu’an Company and Lifan Group. The company has advanced design hardware and softwars, as well as strong design and development capabilities in welding design.
