The "Chongqing Jiangbeizui Central Business District Development White Paper" was released recently, which revealed that Jiangbeizui will build three schools and an underground parking network.
Two of the three schools will be state-run, while the third’s construction will bring in social capital. The construction has officially started and the three are targeted for entering service in 2016.
To solve traffic congestion and parking problems, relying on the mountain terrain, Jiangbeizui CBD has designed an independent underground parking network covering the "Future City" and Central Park, which will share 30 percent of the ground traffic flow.
The underground parking network will link 15,000 parking spaces in all office buildings and will meet the needs of 50,000 residents and 150,000 commuters. The construction will begin next year and is due be finished in 2017.
In addition, the construction of Sandongqiao Folk Custom Street, whose architectural style reflects Jiangbeizui's history has started in the first half of this year and will begin operations next year.
