The 13th China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition (CIMAMotor 2014) was held in the National Expo Center, Chongqing municipality, from November 14-17.
CIMAMotor has been held annually since 2002, and has become the world's largest and the most important event for commuter motorcycles after 12 years of continuous development. The output and sales of Chinese motorcycles, accounting for over 50 percent of the world, has led the world for many consecutive years.
The export of motorcycles has also led the world for many consecutive years. In China, over 99 percent of motorcycles are used for commuting. Exported motorcycles mainly go to third world countries.
The position and industrial situation of Chinese motorcycles ensures CIMAMotor as the most important international platform for brand promotion, product trade, technology transfer and information release. It is also the preferred show for manufacturers and buyers of commuter motorcycles.
As a motorcycle industry annual event, CIMAMotor 2014 attracted more than 400 exhibitors from more than 10 countries, including Germany, the US, Japan and France. It covers more than 40 vehicle brands and more than 300 auto accessories and cultural goods suppliers.
Exhibitors from China focused on demonstrating the core competitiveness of Chinese motorcycles, and the displayed products included motorcycles, motorcycle parts, motorcycle cultural products, general fuel engines, motorcycle maintenance products, motorcycle technology and service products.
The exhibition area reached 60,000 square meters, and is expected to attract more than 130,000 visitors. Themed “new standards, new technologies, new products", apart from displaying motorcycle products and the most cutting-edge technology, a motorcycle experience interactive area was set up in the outdoor venue where motorcycle drivers can sharpen their driving skills.
In addition, the 2014 1ST Chongqing Motorcycle Carnival will be held in the National Expo Center from November 14 to 16, where a series of events including an Oktoberfest, games, a rock night, MTcos meeting, anime music festival and natural scenery tours will be organized.
