The Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee says that, as one of the important social welfare programs in Longxing Industrial Park, the renovation and expansion project of Yuren Middle School is progressing well. Currently eight main buildings have been completed, and have started the interior decoration stage.
The renovation and expansion project of Yuren Middle School covers 130 mu (8.67 hectares), including 34,961 square meters for new buildings, and 6,600 square meters for reserved buildings. With a total investment of 167 million yuan ($ 27.3 million), the construction period will last two years. The school plans to open for enrollment in the fall of 2015.
Currently, the project is progressing well. Eight buildings, including three dormitories, a teaching building, a comprehensive building, a canteen, a gymnasium, and an administration building, have been completed. According to the schedule, the project is expected to be fully completed in July 2015.
A spokesman said that there are a lot of user-friendly designs for the project. For example, the roof of the school buildings will be used for planting flowers and shrubs, forming a kind of ecological roofing. Meanwhile, a passage has been constructed for the parking and operation of fire engines. Each classroom will install vacuum insulation glass, so that students can study in a quiet environment. In addition, a special rest room has been reserved for cleaners. The new school is being constructed alongside the mountain in a bid to become a mountainous landscape school.
In addition to Yuren high school’s renovation and expansion project, Longxing Industrial Park has invested 20 million yuan for social welfare projects. At present, 13 of these projects have been planned including schools, hospitals, and parks. Hehe Community Residence Primary School and Hehe Community Service center have been completed and put into use. Construction of a 380,000-square-meter fire station has been started.
