Chongqing Municipal Government and Inspur Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Wudu Hotel, Chongqing Municipality on November 18.
According to the agreement, Inspur Group will construct a western data center, and develop big data and cloud computing in Chongqing.
Chongqing and Inspur Group will cooperate in eight aspects of cloud computing and big data.
First, following the world's most advanced and most energy-efficient fourth-generation data center standard, Inspur Group will construct a large-scale, high-grade, and service-oriented western data center in Shuitu High-tech Park in Liangjiang New Area.
Second, Inspur Group will construct a cloud services platform reflecting some of the characteristics of Chongqing.
Third, Inspur Group will build a big data operation and R & D center.
Fourth, Inspur Group will build a national industry disaster recovery center based upon the cloud computing data center.
Fifth, Inspur Group will construct its national safety control service center, which will provide protection for the country's data security.
Sixth, Inspur Group will set up a western production base, where it will produce high-end hardware products for the Group.
Seventh, Inspur Group will construct a big data industrial park in a bid to bring more enterprises in the big data chain to Chongqing, and to form a complete industrial chain of big data and cloud computing in Chongqing.
Eighth, Inspur Group will also build a training base to train skilled workers in cloud computing, software development and other fields.
Inspur Group, as a leading supplier of computing platforms and IT solutions in China, provides IT products and services for over 20 countries and areas, comprehensively meeting the needs of government and business informatization. Its output value reached 45.1 billion yuan ($7.37 billion) in 2013, and ranks 11th in China's electronic information industry.
