The 2015 Chongqing Advertising & Creative Culture Exhibition opened in Liangjiang Advertising Industrial Park on January 6.
The exhibition, themed "Advertising Drives Industries, Creativity Changes Life", is organized by the Chongqing Commerce Bureau and Chongqing Gaoke Group. It will last for one month.
There are six sections of the exhibition: Liangjiang advertising industry, print advertisement, branding, television ads, digital interaction and creative design.
Yang Guang, deputy director of the Chongqing Commerce Bureau, said: "There are three advertising parks in Chongqing: Liangjiang Advertising Industrial Park, Huixing Advertising Industrial Park and Sanxia Advertising Industrial Park. Liangjiang Park is a major one, covering an area of 42,000 square meters."
According to statistics published by the Chongqing Commerce Bureau, by the end of 2014, Chongqing's advertising revenue has reached 6.42 billion yuan ($1.03 billion), a year-on-year increase of 20 percent. There are as many as 160,000 people in the advertising industry.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
