The billion-dollar international automobile city is emerging in Liangjiang New Area of Chongqing, by the completion of the Ford China's No 3 factory and SGMW Chongqing Factory inside Liangjiang.

According to the official statistics, by the end of 2014, some national leading automobile companies, such as SGMW, as well as some national leading automotive parts companies have settled their factories in the automobile city inside Liangjiang New Area.

Also, Chongqing has recently been approved as West China's first automobile port by central government, which brings development opportunities for Liangjiang New Area's automobile industry.

According to an official of the Liangjiang New Area, the Liangjiang New Area is the first national-level development zone of inland China. As it has the bonded port areas and Jiangbei International Airport, which can all bring convenience for the development of automobile industry.

And looking ahead the year of 2015, the Liangjiang New Area will continue to develop the automobile industry, by attracting more automobile factories settling here, as well as perfecting the area's infrastructure facilities and completing the area's function layout.
